BELLE Executive Board
 
Purpose: 
     To advise the spokespersons on scientific and technical matters.

Membership: 
     1. The board consistes of three spokespersons, 3 from KEK, 3 from 
        Japanese iniversities, 3 from abroad, 2-3 at large.
     2. Members are appointed by the spokespersons. 
     3. Term is for two years and is renewable.

History:

     1. DEC 1993 ad.hoc. committee at KEK, which was appointed by the interin 
        steering committee for selecting the spokespersons, decided that the 
        spokespersons should select executive board members. 
     2. At JAN 1994 Nara General Meeting, spokespersons nominated 13 EB 
        members and chairman.
        Abe(chairman), Fukushima, Matsuda, Yamauchi from KEK, Noguchi, Haba, 
        Watanabe, Yuta from Japanese universities, Bondar, Kim, Marlow, 
        Piilonen, Wang from abroad.
     3. Because we do need expert's opinions for most of our technical 
        discussion, we decided to hold all EB meetings jointly with 
        subdetector representatives.
     4. In 1995, we added Peng from Taiwan. He was replaced by Hou in 1996. 
        Haba was replaced by Aihara. 
     5. In FEB 1997, Yuta was replaced by Yamaguchi. 
     6. In April 1999, Abe was reappointed as a chairman. Spokespersons also 
        selected new members.
